Yes. My Duds is cared for to the end of his days
July 1, 2024 in reply to: Who would look after your dog if something were to happen to you? #4207858Absolutely! We have a list of people that would adopt him. The first one on the list is my SIL who owns his best friend and we trade dog sitting. My Wendall knows them, their house and their dog. My Wendall was abandoned once before we adopted him from the shelter. I would never put him in that situation again. Wendall has 3 backup offers just in case.

She would take good care of any & all of my animals until they were old and passed away. She’s rescues animals all the time.
July 1, 2024 in reply to: Who would look after your dog if something were to happen to you? #4207847Before I rescued my dog I spoke with my daughter about looking after him if anything happened to me. Also part of the adoption process was to promise to return him to them rather than any pound. No problem my family love him as much as I do

July 1, 2024 in reply to: Movies to avoid watching cause something bad happens to the dog/cat #4207817Yes. Old Yeller traumatized me many, many yrs ago
July 1, 2024 in reply to: Movies to avoid watching cause something bad happens to the dog/cat #4207729Old Yeller scarred me for life….I cried every night for weeks afterwards…..then again I was only 6. Now I stop watching a film if there is potential for the animal to die. No exceptions. We’ve had the war horse dvd in the cabinet since it was released, I’ve never seen it.
June 30, 2024 in reply to: Movies to avoid watching cause something bad happens to the dog/cat #4207726“Marley And Me” I have never gotten over “Old Yeller.”
June 30, 2024 in reply to: Movies to avoid watching cause something bad happens to the dog/cat #4207721Hachi. Watched it once. Great movie based on a true story but extremely sad. I cried big tears. I couldn’t even tell friends about it without crying. Loved Richard Gere in it.
June 30, 2024 in reply to: Movies to avoid watching cause something bad happens to the dog/cat #4207716Hachi – and I’ve been told it’s a great movie but I just can’t bare the sadness

June 30, 2024 in reply to: Movies to avoid watching cause something bad happens to the dog/cat #4207701I Am Legend. I watched it through one time and cried for over an hour when the dog died. Its an awesome movie, I just cant watch the dogs death, hurts the heart too much
June 30, 2024 in reply to: Movies to avoid watching cause something bad happens to the dog/cat #4207695Marley & me, old yeller, kujo, a dog’s purpose, LITERALLY any dog movie that has a dog death. I didn’t realize “I am legend” had a dog death and I cried so hard. I do love john wick movies though bc keanu reeves loves animals and a significant part is revenge for his dog
June 30, 2024 in reply to: Movies to avoid watching cause something bad happens to the dog/cat #4207690Hachi was a movie I could only watch 1 time it broke my heart I love it but once was enough for me truly the sadness movie ever
June 30, 2024 in reply to: Movies to avoid watching cause something bad happens to the dog/cat #4207687I started watching Thank You For Your Service, until there was a scene with a dog fight and I immediately turned it off and never attempted to watch again.
June 30, 2024 in reply to: Movies to avoid watching cause something bad happens to the dog/cat #4207675Old Yeller. Three Lives of Thomasina. Bambi. If I know that happens, I cannot watch. Even the documentary, My Octopus Teacher. The Octopus dies in the end. Can’t watch that again, and Born Free. I loved that movie but it’s too sad when they have to leave Ilsa in the wild to learn and when they have to leave her altogether.
June 30, 2024 in reply to: Movies to avoid watching cause something bad happens to the dog/cat #4207670Old Yeller will never watch. Love the movie my Dog Skip but cry at the end and Skip had a good life.Marley and Me is sad and yet a good movie and Marley was well loved.Hatchi is fantastic but heartbreaking. Any movie when something happens to the animal is difficult to watch .I Am Legend is another movie that is sad because of the dog.I even want King Kong to live.He loved the girl and they brought him here to put on display.Just want them all to be ok.
June 30, 2024 in reply to: Movies to avoid watching cause something bad happens to the dog/cat #4207667I saw Hatchi and cried for months! Was so heartbreaking.
