    Didn’t use a harness with my basset, but it probably would have been a better idea. Bassets are good at slipping regular collars, we used a choke collar, not sure why we didn’t use a harness. Seems I’m seeing harnesses more often than years ago when she was alive. Choke collars are effective, but not so nice. All the extra skin at the bassets’ neck prevents a regular collar from being tight enough if they try to back out of it. Making it tight enough would be uncomfortable.
