Pets best
Nationwide
Yes and nationwide
Embrace…. well worth it
We use Healthy Paws
MetLife, luckily haven’t had to use it yet.
Yes. Metlife.
I’ve heard good things about Lemonade. It’ll compare companies for you. I’ll be looking into it next year.I also had PetsBest for years. The rates were going up and I had to lower my coverage to stay in budget. I recently switched to SPOT as now I am back up to more coverage for $30 a month less that PB. I’m seems you have to shop aroundnow and then for good rates. I also only have it for accidents and illnesses, but these are the unexpected huge vet bills I want to be prepared for.
Yep…Pets Best for 3 dogs It is not cheap and we only have it for catastrophic events such as needing surgery etc. would not take a chance of not having it.
I have Trupanion and got it a week before I got my pup at 9months old. She is a year now but so glad I have it. Since in 4 months she had a UTI and a tangle with an another dog at doggy daycare that her ear was cut and had to go on antibiotics and she had conjunctivitis. All before she turned a year! Love my baby girl!
One is on Embrace ( the more “adventurous” one) and the other is on Petco Vital care.
Benadryl did not help mine. I have taken them off of chicken and I got them all zodiac flea collars from Amazon which work really well and they have all improved.
Our puppy receives Cytopoint injections for her skin allergies.
Talk to a Vet first. It could be the dog food. I switched to Science Diet because my dog has issues with cheaper dog food.
Coconut virgin oil helps my dogs bigtime. I apply it on the affected parts.
I give my Golden Retriever, who get seasonal allergies, Benedril (my vet recommended) works great. One of my others itched and licked paws all the time until vet gave him a prescription for Aboquel (expensive but works). Your dog also may have allergic reaction to chicken in foods (many dogs are) so buy alternative; others to grains, buy grain free.
My poor lab spent 13 years in constant itching/allergy distress. She started with allergy workup and monthly shots, moved onto Apoquel shots, ending with Cytolpoint shots( which was the best)…Then at least twice to 3xs per year she developed severe reactions(spring & fall) additional infections, needing Prednisone and antibiotics…..Awful for her and us watching her, not to mention the expense. Never again!
PetHonesty probiotics, they are all natural and coconut oil for a topical all natural solution
Switch to a quality dog food–not from the grocery store–with only two ingredients, like fish and potato. Wait a few weeks to change in his/her system. Then add a different food a day until you find the problem. I used to own a pet food store. Also try a Benedryl for temporary relief.
I got my dogs some Allergy+Immune Chews with Kelp& Vitamin C at our health store my Sofee itches starting g about this season and she hasn’t done it yet I started them about 3 wks ago they love them it’s s soft chew once a day hope this helps your fur baby
You need more than probiotic. See a vet.we had to do a reset on my girl.3 months hydrolyzed food then onto natural balance salmon and brown rice. She also has environmental allergies. Bath once a week with hypoallergenic shampoo and epsom salts in tub for feet.she takes zyrtec daily and miracle probiotic .I did apoquel for a few months but could not afford it.the zyrtec works great my vet said benadryl not good for long term use.she gets a tbls of salmon oil in food and I put her pills on coconut oil so she takes them without fuss.also treats are baby carrots ,lettuce, green beans, blueberries and some other fruit and veggies
I have my one dog on Apoquil, all of them gets greek yogurt plain in their food everynight, and they get a benadryl at bedtime about 3times a week.. Going to try goats milk next
My dogs are on fortiflora probiotics by Purina. Can buy from Chewy. That’s for gut health. For allergies my Lab got External Wind prescribed by our holistic veterinarian.
I had the same problem with my Westie & had to change his diet to ‘Hypoallergenic’ dog food & treats.
I add 1 tsp on raw honey to my dogs for 1x a day. Has to be raw honey from your area.
