“Before Sloopy was given to me, I was frequently visiting the VA clinic receiving treatment for PTSD – I had nightmares, anxiety, mood swings, anything you can think of. Sometime later, I talked to a friend who told me that he had received a dog for his injuries due to war, and it did wonders that he couldn’t explain. I then began to look into Pets for Vets.

“Two helpful ladies in the Southwest Indiana Chapter trained a wonderful dog for me. Sloopy has made me feel absolutely 100% better in every aspect of my life. She is my best friend, and even though we haven’t lived together for long, I honestly couldn’t think of what I would do without her. Sloopy is always right there for me; she watches TV with me, runs with me in the park and even sleeps right by me in my bed. Other than when I’m at work, there is never a time that we are apart.

“There aren’t enough hugs and thanks in this world to show how grateful I am toward Pets for Vets. It is an absolutely amazing organization, and I highly recommend it for any veterans, especially veterans who have tried the traditional methods with limited success. It may sound silly, but it is very true, and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you Pets for Vets – your hard work and “dedication to this organization don’t go unrecognized.”

Sincerely,
Eric
