An animal control officer came, took Lilo, and left the owners a note that they had taken the dog into their custody. Lilo’s owners called them saying that they were going to claim her–but that never happened.
Lilo had health concerns. She was underweight and she had scabs and open sores. Thankfully, she was rescued by the Merit Pit Bull Rescue, and they helped her find a foster home.

Lilo is now fostered by Keana Lynch and her boyfriend Travis Henley. And when they met Lilo, they found out just how sweet she is.
When Keana took Lilo home, Lilo didn’t know what it was like to live inside. She had lived outside all her life, so everything was new to her. Lilo is slowly getting used to it, and Keana has started house training her too.
We are so glad that Lilo was rescued. We hope that she will find a loving, forever home soon!
