In July 2011, Denver, Colorado was hit by a severe thunderstorm. It was so bad that Casey Boatman was rushing to shut all of his windows because water was gushing inside his home. He never expected to see what was happening outside his window. Alone stood a poor Boxer that had been abandoned and tied to a tree. As the rain and hail started pouring down onto the homeless, unsheltered dog, he knew it must be scared, cold and hurting. But when he saw his neighbor running outside to rescue the dog, he knew he had to videotape. His neighbor desperately tried to free the dog and when she couldn’t, she ran back inside to get a knife or scissors to cut the leash. Thankfully she got the dog inside and everyone came out safe and sound!

A huge thanks to Casey Boatman and his heroic neighbor for saving this poor dog and capturing it on video. Unfortunately we aren’t sure if the original “owner” was ever found, but we hope they certainly never have a dog in their hands again!
