106-Pound Great Pyrenees Is The Resident Gentle Giant For One Texas Nursing Home

| June 13, 2015

Sometimes it’s the biggest animals that can have the kindest, gentlest spirits you will ever know. Meet Winston, a 106 lb Great Pyrenees that spends his days bringing smiles and spreading joy at the C.C. Young nursing home in Dallas, Texas. Winston was surrendered back to his breeder in Colorado after his original owner passed away, and his new owner in Texas, Clifford Spohr, knew that Winston’s kind spirit had to be shared with others–especially those who need it. This is when Winston completed his certifications required to become a certified therapy dog.

Winston, now 4, lights up the C.C. Young facility with every trip he makes there, and his owner Clifford, feels like he’s “doing something good” by sharing his dog with the residents. Watch this sweet video of precious Winston and his loving friends:

Wasn’t the belly rub so sweet?! Winston is one special dog who deserves every bit of love he receives. Share Winston’s story to let others get a smile too!
