In 2013, a group of American soldiers who were deployed in Afghanistan met a pregnant dog. They named her Sheba. The soldiers immediately bonded with Sheba who went on patrols with them, and waits for them every night for their return. She became their friend. When Sheba had her puppies, she was sick and very thin. So the soldiers gave her their rations, bathed and swaddled her pups, and looked after them.
The soldiers promised Sheba that they would save her family. So when they got back to the U.S., they didn’t forget about her. The soldiers did everything they could to bring Sheba and her pups to the United States. And with the help of Guardians of Rescue–a group in New York who rescues animals, they were able to ship Sheba and her puppies to the United States. Watch the video below for the full story!
