This is the story of Belle.
Belle is a tiny dog who spent most of her life locked in a cage. For 12 years, Belle endured a depressing and hard life in a puppy mill in Portugal. She was placed in a cage just to make puppies so greedy people could make money. Belle’s situation seemed hopeless, until some wonderful people from the Bianca Associado came to rescue her.
When they rescued Belle, she was very sick and very thin. She had glaucoma in her left eye and she could barely walk. She also had Leishmania–a parasite infection in dogs, and she had several dental problems. But things were about to change for Belle. Watch the video below and see this little dog’s journey.
Belle went through a lot of challenges. But she was able to overcome them because of her fighting spirit and her resilience.
A million thanks to her rescuers and to the family who adopted her, Belle now has a beautiful and happy life. She finally felt what being loved and cared for is like. Belle is finally happy.
