We have been seeing a lot of terrible news of dogs being neglected, abandoned, or abused by their owners. Their stories are simply heartbreaking. But when we see news and videos of dog owners who would do anything to rescue their pets, we know there’s still hope for humanity.
Just recently, a hunter swam in freezing water and broke the ice with his bare hands to rescue his dog who was trapped in the ice. The Swedish hunter named Jonas Lundh was hunting a moose together with his dog Rocky. The moose was running and Rocky chased after it. The moose ran to a frozen lake and got across to the small island in the middle. Rocky however was trapped in the icy lake when he ran after the moose.
When Jonas found Rocky in trapped in the ice, he didn’t hesitate to swim in the icy waters to save his dog. The video below is the footage taken from Jonas’ body cam.
Amazingly, the two were able to make it to the island. Jonas put his own life in danger to save his best friend.
