Madeleine with Fort Worth Abandoned Animal Alliance agreed to foster two puppies she named Reeses and Snickers. She knew the pups would do better in a home rather than in a shelter. But even though they were out of that tiny cage and with a loving foster mom, the puppies were depressed.
The sad little pup wouldn’t eat much, especially Snickers. At this point, their survival wasn’t promised. Madeleine was desperate to help the babies and tried all she could. Nothing helped. Then, as if the universe understood their plight, a text message popped onto her screen. The president of the rescue believed they found Reeses and Snicker’s mom!
When the little black dog was introduced to the puppies, everyone held their breath. It only took a few seconds for the puppies to know that familiar smell. The once lethargic pups jumped up and down on Mom. And, of course, their mama’s heart that ached for her babies was finally full again. Their reunion is precious!
All three dogs celebrated life in their new foster home. The puppies grew more confident and playful. And Mom was proud to be there every four-legged step of the way! Fostering animals in need is an essential part of placing pets in their forever homes. Consider becoming a foster today!
