Animal Aid, which specializes in helping animals with disabilities, got a call about an injured puppy that could not move. They made their way to the pup as quickly as they could and were relieved to find out that the little dog wasn’t paralyzed.

The puppy had been brutally attacked by an animal, pushed off a drain ditch, or even lost her footing and they weren’t able to move or tended to. The puppy filled my chest with sadness as I watched her lay there in excruciating pain, unable to move from the sight of so much blood.

When they tried to move her, she screamed in agony. They rushed her to their sanctuary where they immediately gave her pain medication so she would stop suffering.

Once the puppy calmed down, she could be properly assessed. But as soon as the vet tried to stand her up, she screamed again as if she had no pain medication at all. Poor baby! She needed a tender touch and lots of TLC.

The doctor flushed her neck wound out and treated it so infection wouldn’t set it. Her neck was then bandaged properly. She looked so tiny, lying on the giant table.

Lucky puppies heal very quickly. Judy’s little pup, Connie, has made tons of progress in just two months.

Isn’t she a doll?! She can run and play with the other Animal Aid doggy residents. She loves her caretakers too!

And now that she’s healthy, she will be placed in a forever home. Lots of adopters want puppies so she will go to a good home in no time!
