A tiny, two-week-old puppy lay helplessly on the side of a road, crying out in desperation. The fragile pup, later named Dumpling, had been cruelly taken away from her mother and abandoned, left vulnerable to the elements and predators. Unable to crawl due to her injuries, she could do nothing but cry, hoping someone would hear her and come to her rescue. Despite her dire situation, Dumpling clung to hope, her whimpers carrying through the air.

Fortunately, her cries were heard, and she was taken to Bosley’s Place, a neonatal puppy rescue and nursery in Smyrna, Georgia, where her fight for survival began. The staff at Bosley’s Place were heartbroken upon meeting Dumpling. Her tiny body was riddled with puncture wounds, and she was barely clinging to life. “All we can do from this point forward is provide her with the care that she needs and pray that she is strong enough to overcome the obstacles that she is faced with,” the rescue wrote in a Facebook post.

Dumpling was immediately rushed to a veterinarian for a full examination, where the extent of her injuries was revealed. She had broken ribs and subcutaneous emphysema, likely caused by her wounds. To give her the best chance at survival, Dumpling was started on antibiotics and pain relievers.

Too weak to nurse on her own, the staff began tube-feeding her to ensure she received the nourishment she needed. Her caregivers remained by her side, offering her comfort and love and praying for her strength to pull through.

Though Dumpling battled a fever during her first night at the nursery, her resilience shone through. By the next morning, her condition had improved, and within three days, she began feeding on her own. The dedicated staff showered her with affection, letting her know she was no longer alone.

As Dumpling’s wounds started to heal, her personality began to shine. The staff suspected her injuries were caused by a predatory bird attack, but Dumpling proved she was a fighter. Her ribs began mending naturally, and her recovery amazed everyone at the rescue.

Soon, Dumpling found a friend in Lentil, another rescue puppy at the nursery. The two became inseparable, playing and cuddling together as they grew stronger. Once Dumpling had fully healed, she was ready for adoption, and it didn’t take long for her to find her forever family.

Doctor Left Her Dog In a Storage Bin
Doctor Left Her Dog In a Storage Bin

A children's doctor had been evicted and had left items behind when she left. Among them was something alarming: a plastic storage bin, where a dog had been locked inside. If someone is this cruel to a small, defenseless dog, how can they continue to treat children as a doctor?

Her new family fell in love with her instantly, and Dumpling was thrilled to join her new sister, Hazelnut Abbey, who was also adopted from Bosley’s Place. From a scared, injured puppy left to fend for herself, Dumpling transformed into a happy, healthy, and joyful dog, basking in the love of her new family.
