Rescuers found a stray in urgent need of medical attention. The mange-riddled Elsa had a hard life. She’d been on the streets a long time– and finally, help had arrived! But Elsa refused rescue for a reason that is so incredibly heartwarming, we had to share!
When volunteers with Ray Animal Rescue arrived at the scene, Elsa approached with her tail wagging. She was so incredibly friendly that she repeatedly gave her paw to one of the women as if she were muttering: “Thank you.” But Elsa didn’t want to be saved, and the rescuers soon learned why.
Elsa led the volunteers to her little pal named Hugo. While on the streets, the pair bonded and formed a kinship where blood didn’t matter. If the volunteers wanted to rescue Elsa, they had to rescue Hugo too! The women were floored! Dogs are loyal creatures, but this was on a whole other level. What a beautiful sight to see!
