Not everyone wakes-up extremely enthusiastic about starting the day. It’s no secret that a prominent portion of the population needs a hefty dose of caffeine to get them going in the morning. But the same can be true for some of our canine companions too. Not every dog is a “morning paw-son.”

This can certainly be said about 10-year-old Max, who was captured on camera wishing he could hit the snooze button on his tiny furry sister.

Bernese Mountain dogs are known for being big, furry, and friendly. They’re also commonly calm and patient, which works especially in Max’s favor since his family added a tiny, nine-week-old puppy to their pack. She, unlike Max, wakes-up super early with an extraordinary amount of energy and desperately wants to use it to play. But Max is not exactly “bright eyed and bushy tailed” at 7am like his sister. He would much prefer to sleep in a bit.

But Zoey’s adorable antics were captured on camera, and they are being shared across the internet, making people smile.

When the viral video begins, Max is sprawled out and relaxing on the hardwood floor. Then, his tiny puppy sibling starts zooming all around him. She’s so incredibly excited that she starts jumping and even face-plants and slides all over the floor. But that doesn’t slow her down! She almost immediately starts barking, and continues her incredibly over-enthusiastic greeting. But Max doesn’t budge. He does lift his head, but he maintains his position on the floor. He’s still so sleepy. And, after all, it’s extremely early in the morning.

Despite him being essentially unresponsive, she continues her coaxing. She jumps, barks, and beckons. It’s almost as if she is saying, “please play with me!”

A voice can even be heard off-screen saying to Zoey, “It’s so early!” But that doesn’t matter to a nine-week-old puppy like Zoey. She wakes up, bursting with energy. Right in the midst of her antics, Zoey lays down on the ground and gets distracted by the carpet. Max was likely super grateful for the short break from her shenanigans. It’s quite clear that he’s far more interested in continuing to lay on the floor. But just like that, she’s back at it, pouncing and trying to persuade him to play.

She’s so cute and could possibly convince him. Do you think that Max will take the bait and begin to play with his little sister? You can check-out the super cute video clip and see if Max jumps in to play with his sweet sibling below.
