A mom and her little girl went to the shelter to adopt a dog. The 2-year-old made a beeline to a Pit Bull’s cage. She said to her mom, “I want this one.” The toddler, her mom calls G, insisted that the mangy, stinky dog with snot running down her nose needed help, and they had to free her from her cage. The poor dog stood there and shook, fearful of her surroundings.
Her mom agreed to take the dog outside so they could get to know her. As the Pit Bull and G played, the little girl wiped the pup’s goopy eyes and runny nose on her dress. The dog’s fear melted away once G was by her side. It was incredible! The little girl kept repeating that the dog needed help and that she was sick.
When her mom returned the dog to her kennel, she shook all over again. This upset G! The little girl refused to leave the dog behind. She said, “Sick doggy. Need help. Go home.” Her mom just stood there, amazed at her little girl’s heart of gold. What follows is beautiful! G may only be 2 years old, but her intuition is well beyond her years!
