On the third Sunday of every month, a group called Dachshunds in Edinburgh gets together for a group walk. They bring all their beloved Dachshunds together for an adorable and exciting event. This December, these little dogs will be having an extra special get together. On Sunday, December 15th, Dachshunds in Edinburgh will be hosting their very own Christmas-themed walk, complete with adorable costumes!
The year’s Christmas event will be taking place at Inverleith Park starting at noon. This is an incredible 54-acre park that the Dachshunds have visited multiple times before. There are lots of beautiful scenery for the humans to look at, and of course, lots of amazing smells for all the little dogs!
This Christmas Celebration
All the Dachshunds that attend are encouraged to dress up in Christmas attire for the most adorable flash mob of all time. Christmas outfits are completely optional, but many Dachshunds love to get in on the fun!
This Christmas event has taken place the past few years, and it has been very successful. Many Dachshunds have appeared with adorable winter coats, and even some elf, Santa, and reindeer sweaters!

Dachshunds in Edinburgh
Dachshunds in Edinburgh hosts lots of adorable events, not just for Christmas. They have been getting together every month since at least 2015. After every walk, they post a video on their Facebook page showing all the guests and their dogs happily walking together.
Each month they try to mix it up with new locations and oftentimes special themes. Any Dachshunds in the area are welcome to join in even if they’ve never been before.
Every walk, there are lots of regulars that attend along with some new faces. The community is very friendly and happy to get to know new Dachshunds and their parents. They all know how amazing it is to love a Dachshund, and they have bonded over their love for this adorable small breed.
This group has hosted Halloween costume walks and picnics in the summer. Each event is equally adorable and unforgettable. If you have a Dachshund of your own in the Edinburgh area, then give them a chance to be part of these amazing experiences. And don’t forget to dress them up in a festive outfit if you can!
