As animal lovers, we do all we can to ensure their safety. Many folks go out of their way when they see an animal in need, just like the kind people in the video below. A tiny creature was spotted wandering aimlessly. Concerned, the humans approached and saw a gut-wrenching sight. A hedgehog was struggling after a container became stuck on his teeny head. He was overwhelmed and frightened. It was only a matter of time before he would succumb to his predicament, unable to breathe, eat, or drink.
The disoriented hedgehog couldn’t see a thing and walked straight into a curb. Thankfully, he wasn’t alone for long. When people approached and began laughing at the fearful hedgehog, he tried to flee. Even though it seemed like he was being made fun of, the giggling was coming from nice people who just wanted to help.
As the hedgehog grew closer, they began to tug on the container to free him, but it was jammed tightly around his head. They wanted to pick him up to get a better angle, but his sharp spines prevented that. They had to figure out another way.
A man couldn't afford to pay for the surgery his dog desperately needed, so he decided to improvise and do it himself. In a shocking case of animal cruelty, the man admitted to applying tooth-numbing gel to his dog's leg and then amputating it.
One of the men used a paper towel to grab him and pull the container off, but again, it was on too tight. The hedgehog curled into a ball and lay down. It seemed hopeless. Next, they put their phones down, and with some gentle twisting and tugging, the little guy was finally free!
