A couple broke up and decided to go their separate ways. However, in the process, they did the unthinkable. They left behind their shared dog in the house they resided in. The poor pup was alone for two weeks before she was noticed by a woman named Audray. The dog stood outside waiting for someone to come by and help her. The sight was both heartbreaking and cruel. Who could do this? Who could be this callous? Audray was understandably upset but she had to put aside her own emotions and focus on saving the dog.

The dog, named Lucy, darted over to the woman as soon as she saw her but then retreated back to the house. Audray climbed onto the porch and said, “I’m so sorry they left you.” Lucy, understandably distrustful at first, soon rewarded the woman with the sweetest kisses once she realized Audray was a friend.

Audray went next door to get the whole story. She learned that the couple had three dogs and when they parted ways, they each took custody of a dog but left Lucy behind. What monsters! Audray vowed to find Lucy the perfect family who would never give up on her. She loaded the pup into her car, took her to the vet, and then the groomer. Lucy was so happy to be given proper attention.

Next, it was time to head over to meet her foster mom, where she housed other animals as well. The video states, “With her new friends, Lucy started to learn what real love looks like.” To find out what happens next, watch the video below. We’re so grateful Lucy was saved in time. As for her previous owners, shame on you!
