Sweet Pit Bull Gives Dad an Earful After He Comes Home Late
Pit Bulls often get an unfair reputation, but anyone who has lived with one knows they’re brimming with love and loyalty. Roxy, a sweet Pit Bull, is the perfect example. With her wagging tail and playful personality, she’s all about cuddles, fun, and her favorite person — her dad.
But on this particular day, Roxy had a bone to pick with him. She had been waiting patiently all afternoon for him to come home from work, and when he finally walked through the door later than usual, she let him know exactly how she felt.
In a now-viral video, Roxy can be seen “talking back” to her dad, her expressive face and playful vocalizations making it clear she was disappointed. When he asked her about her day, she seemed to launch into a long, dramatic explanation in “doggy language,” almost as if she was demanding an excuse for why he was late.
Her dad then asked the question every dog parent loves to ask: “Roxy, did you miss me?” Without hesitation, Roxy’s body language answered for her. Her excited tail wags and loving gaze made it obvious — she had missed him more than anything.
Roxy’s sweet reaction is a reminder of how deeply dogs bond with their humans. As pack animals, they see us as family, and long absences can feel tough on them. While Roxy’s response was filled with love (and a little sass), it also highlights an important point: our dogs thrive when they have attention, companionship, and activity.
For pet parents with long work hours, hiring a dog walker can make a world of difference. Midday walks give dogs exercise, playtime, and much-needed interaction to help break up the day. For pups like Roxy, who live for affection and togetherness, it’s a way to keep their tails wagging until their humans return home.
At the end of the day, though, Roxy made it clear that nothing compares to having her dad back. She might give him an earful for being late, but once the hugs and cuddles start, all is forgiven.
