Paul, a beautiful Greyhound, raced until the racetracks closed down in Florida. That was the only life he knew. He, understandably, had no idea how to be a dog inside a home. The house itself scared him, especially the stairs.

When Elizabeth and Holden adopted Paul, they vowed to be patient with him, always. They knew he’d face challenges, and they were 100% on board to hold his paw through it all. It took time, but soon Paul let his guard down and accepted his new parents’ love. The first day he laid his head next to his mom was everything!

Paul hit a big milestone the following summer when his parents took him away to the country. He was able to play and run as fast as he wanted to. Paul had his first case of the zoomies, and his parents celebrated by clapping and calling his name! To see him run full speed, because he wanted to and not out of force was pure magic!

One of Paul’s shining moments was when he found his howl. He had been so quiet up to that point! As Paul’s mom puts it, “Paul makes the mundane parts of life so much better.” We couldn’t be happier for Paul and his forever family. Check them out in the video below!
