Begin by mixing the new food with your dog’s current diet, gradually increasing the proportion of Nature Is Good Dog Food while decreasing the old food. This method helps your dog adjust to the new diet without digestive issues, even if they are not keen on their current food. Start with small amounts of the new food and slowly increase it to ensure a smooth dietary change.
For the first three days when transitioning to Nature Is Good Dog Food, we recommend a mix of 25% new food and 75% old food.
From days 4-6, adjust the mix to 50% new food and 50% old food.
On days 7-9, increase to 75% new food and 25% old food.
By day 10, your dog should be fully transitioned to Nature Is Good Dog Food, eliminating the need to mix in the old food.Following this timeline helps minimize digestive issues and allows your dog to get accustomed to the flavor and texture of their new diet.
