A rescue group was called in when two tiny puppies were found clinging to life. They were so malnourished and dehydrated that they couldn’t move. One volunteer crouched down with water and used her fingertip to wet their lips. Even though they were weak, they still managed to show their appreciation with some tail wags.
Puppies that are this sick have a slim chance of surviving. Rescuers who love animals with all their hearts must face reality. But even though the statistics aren’t on their side, they do not give up! The volunteer scooped the puppies up in a towel and rushed them to the rescue center.
With around-the-clock support, the puppies made miraculous strides. Proper nutrition and lots of fluids did wonders for these little babes. Within a few weeks, the pups were scampering around as if they were never sick in the first place!
