Takis, with Takis Shelter, works tirelessly to rescue dogs from the streets. He came upon a pup in need, but the dog was too afraid to be touched. When Takis put his hand out to pet him, the dog bit him out of fear. The pup just wanted to be left alone. The rescuer knew he was too aggressive at this point to take him to the shelter. He had to try a different approach.

The patient man decided to leave him be but supplied him with food, water, and medication for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. He would go back and check on him every day. Hopefully, he would be ready to start his new chapter soon, but for now, this was all Takis could do for him.

Within a few weeks, the dog progressed and even let Takis pet him. Building trust was key! Takis named the pup Rocky. Takis was confident that Rocky was ready to go to the shelter and join the pack. His transformation was incredible! Once united with the other dogs, he wagged his tail and was even playful!

Rocky is now safe and a total mush! He’s great around kids and loves to give hugs! Rocky is looking for his forever home! To learn more about Takis Shelter and Rocky, click here.
