Rogue, a dog who miraculously survived a drive-by shooting, has found her forever home with Katie and her family. After losing her siblings and suffering a gunshot wound to her paw, Rogue was brought to an emergency clinic. Despite not initially searching for a new pet, Katie and her family felt a deep connection with Rogue and decided to adopt her.
Rogue’s journey to recovery began at the emergency clinic, where she received treatment for her injured paw. After her paw was tended to, Rogue was moved to a rehabilitation facility, which happened to be the same facility where Katie’s Bulldog was receiving treatment. Once Katie laid eyes on Rogue, their connection was instant.
Katie and her family were amazed by Rogue’s intelligence and beauty. The clever dog quickly learned how to open doors and windows on her own. Even though humans had wronged her in the past, Rogue was an affectionate, sweet-natured pup to everyone she met. Rogue’s mom believes that the pup chose Katie and her family and they have embraced her with open arms.
After their Bulldog passed away, Katie and her family felt that Rogue would benefit from having a playmate to help her socialize and expend her energy. Stewie, a rescue dog, had been overlooked for adoption despite his three siblings finding homes. When Rogue met Stewie, she immediately welcomed him into the family, and the two dogs have been inseparable ever since.
Rogue and Stewie’s bond has brought joy and positivity to Katie’s household. The dogs’ energy and love have made them an integral part of the family.
