Whenever you shop at the iHeartDogs store, part of that profit goes to Greater Good Charities, an organization that helps a variety of animals in need. Through Greater Good Charities’ GOODS Program, lots of shelters and rescues get food and other essential supplies donated to them. With those donations, many dogs have gotten a second chance at life.

Milyn is one of the many dogs impacted by the GOODS Program. She was found as a stray, but she was very comfortable in a home environment, so she likely had a family in the past.

Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan (RPSM) took Milyn into their care, where she attended training classes and received food, toys, and other supplies to help her feel more at home while she awaited adoption. She quickly learned to love toys, and she picked up all the basic commands with ease.

A Forever Home for Milyn!

A woman from Colorado saw photos of Milyn living her best life online and fell in love with her. So, she drove across several states to adopt the sweet dog. Now, Milyn is in a loving home in Colorado where she will be spoiled for the rest of her life.

Dogs like Milyn are able to thrive at RPSM and get adopted quickly because of the generous donations from the GOODS Program. Those donations allow the rescue to not have to worry about spending money on supplies as much and instead, focus their money on other areas of care, such as medical needs and training. Because of these donations, RPSM was able to get Milyn the training she needed to live her best life.

“The GOODS Program has provided RPSM with food and treats for the dogs both in the prison program and in foster care. This allows the rescue to use funds that were previously allocated for food, and spend them on unexpected medical expenses or supplies provided to new foster families,” RPSM wrote.
