Stephanie’s dog Hank passed away six weeks ago. She was in mourning but still worked up the strength to volunteer at her local shelter. That’s when she met Rudy. Rudy, unwanted by his previous owner and potential adopters, sat in his kennel. He was sad and lonely.

Instead of his owners surrendering him back to the shelter where he was adopted, they cruelly opened the door and let him outside. Thankfully he was found by animal control, who brought him to their shelter. Stephanie focused her attention on Rudy when he needed her most. Soon, she fell head over heels for the special pup. Stephanie knew what she had to do.

Stephanie called her husband and told him all about Rudy. She wanted to adopt him, but her husband kept asking if she was sure, considering they had just lost Hank. Stephanie said she wasn’t sure about Hank either when they found him at the shelter, and he ended up being their dream dog.

The compromise they agreed upon was to foster Rudy and see how it goes. Stephanie’s main goal was to get Rudy out of the shelter ASAP. And that’s exactly what happened! On his freedom ride, Rudy was scared and laid his head on Stephanie’s shoulder while crying.

The story continues– and Rudy finds the sweetest way to express his feelings. The poor pup had a lot of things to work through but now had Stephanie by his side to do so. You can’t miss what happens next!
