Come Christmas time, many kids dream of all the things they hope to find under their tree. But for kids that aren’t so fortunate, sometimes those dreams are overshadowed by harsh realities. For children that grow up on a strict budget, sometimes their wishes won’t become a reality… but that doesn’t mean that they still don’t hope for miracles.
Olga Maruchshenko is a twelve-year-old girl living in a small town in Siberia, Russia, who dreamed of getting a “blue-eyed husky” this holiday season, but she knew that it was something that her parents could not afford. This is when she took a chance, and wrote a letter directly to Russian president Vladimir Putin, hoping that maybe, hopefully, he would grant her precious wish:
“My mom knows that I wrote to you, but she doesn’t believe that you will read my letter. Even so, I hope and I believe that you will read it,” Olga wrote.
“I promise to take good care of the puppy because it’s my big dream – to own a husky. And I promise to study hard.”
Putin owns a grown up Karakachan Bear Dog. No wonder he has no fear in the world. pic.twitter.com/UCm1NZfkqx
