A shelter dog named Ruthie spent her days inside a kennel, shaking from fear. Elli, with Mr. Bones & Co, saw Ruthie “behind bars” and knew she deserved a new life. The kind woman had been traveling nationwide helping as many dogs as possible. Ruthie’s shelter was her last stop.

It was Elli’s mission to come back to help Ruthie. As she says in the video, “It took a couple of weeks, but I never break my promise to a dog.” And Elli kept her word! Ruthie was transported from the shelter to Elli. It was quite the journey, but of course, well worth it. Ruthie settled into Elli’s cottage.

The next morning, Elli opened Ruthie’s door, and she hadn’t moved from her bed. Elli believes it was her first restful sleep in a long time. Thankfully, Elli found Ruthie a foster home quickly with some friends. Before heading over, Elli gave Ruthie a spa day. Bath time wasn’t exactly Ruthie’s favorite.

Once the pup arrived at her new digs, her foster dad Brian welcomed her with open arms into the home he shares with his partner Anthony. Ruthie wasn’t comfortable just yet, but Brian and Anthony did all they could to soothe her and show her all the love in the world. As Ruthie started to adjust, they noticed she’s afraid of the dark, so they set up a nightlight for her. They also brought her breakfast in bed every morning because, as Brian puts it, she’s Queen of the Castle!

The foster dads also discovered Ruthie’s love for music, and what follows is so incredibly sweet it’ll warm your heart and soul. Does Ruthie become a foster fail? You’ve got to watch the video to find out! Thank you to all involved who gave Ruthie a new life!
