Sunny’s life, once filled with the affectionate pats of his human family, abruptly halted when ‘sinister hands’ disrupted his happiness. Horrible men, seeking to profit from dogs like Sunny, snatched him from his yard alongside other dogs in the neighborhood. They intended to sell them to the dog meat market. Locked away in the back of a truck, the dogs were carted off like their lives meant nothing at all.

The dogs huddled together and Sunny, with his sensitive nature, couldn’t help but feel like a death row inmate. His eyes, which once shone bright with happiness, now reflected his utter despair. Some local residents, however, refused to turn a blind eye to the cruel illegal practice. They rallied together, motivated by their kind hearts, and launched a mission to rescue the stolen dogs.

A Golden Retriever enthusiast among them recognized a striking resemblance to Sunny. The rescue mission, though challenging, succeeded as volunteers pooled money to pay off the dog-nappers. After negotiating with sellers who viewed the dogs as mere commodities, they were liberated from impending doom.

The traumatized animals were taken to the vet, where workers vowed to heal their physical and emotional wounds. Sunny was exhausted and defeated. He looked to the vet clinic workers as tears streamed down his face. Despite skeptics claiming his tears were caused by an eye infection, workers believed that his tears stemmed from sadness and elation, relieved that he was finally safe in their care. Sunny was eventually returned to his family where he relished in his humans’ love once again.
