The Dog Given Away Who Just “Wanted To Be By Your Side” Finds An Amazing Forever Home

| November 24, 2015

If you’re anything like me, you love when your dog is next to you. I like knowing that my dog wants to be around me, almost like their way of letting me know that they are right there just in case I want to reach down and pet them at any given moment. That’s one of the things that you love the most, right?

Well, for one man in Texas, this was the very reason he gave his dog away to a shelter. He couldn’t stand his dog “wanting to be right there by his side” so much, that he gave her away to a shelter that was at maximum capacity–and walked right out the door.

Yes, that’s right. Poor Jubilee was given away for no good reason–just simply because she loved her owner too much. It hurts my heart so deeply just writing that sentence. But you know what, there was an angel who saw a post about her named Samantha Fewox, and she was about to change all that.

“I just knew I was supposed to have her.”

It was just last Friday when Jubilee’s life changed in ways she never thought possible, given away like she was nothing after loving–just like any loyal dog does. Thankfully, the story quickly made the rounds on the internet, and the Montgomery County Animal Shelter was flooded with countless adoption inquiries for this one-year-old dog that wanted nothing more than to be loved in return.

All it took was one day for Jubilee, and her wish was granted. The very next day, Jubilee came home to another rescue pup to play with, Samantha and her teenage son, who she follows around just like the little velcro pup she wants to be. This is the sort of happy ending a sweet girl like her deserves.

“She loves him,” Fewox said. “She does stay right by your side.”

Jubilee looks pretty happy at her new home:

Mom says I can’t jump on the bed…but I have other plans!
