Herbie is a blind Dachshund who depends on the eyes of his friend and fellow Doxie, Heidi. You see, Heidi is Herbie’s guide dog!
The two were abandoned together, and taken into the care of the Marion County Dog Services and then the Salem Dogs rescue in Oregon. Because it was clear the two dogs depended on each other, these organizations worked together to find this “packaged deal” a loving home.
Lucky for these pups, Dachshund lovers Dorothy and John Sinnar were more than happy to adopt the 4 to 5-year-old Doxie duo! According to the Statesman Journal, they will be enjoying their new lives on the road, being able to experience new adventures while coming home to their cozy RV with the Sinnars, and of course, each other.
