This Is What Abandonment Looks Like… Can We PLEASE Find This Beautiful Dog A Home?

| November 14, 2015

If they say that a picture is worth a thousand words, this one makes me heart feel every single letter of those words. This is a dog named Keisha, a beautiful German Shepherd/Heeler mix who was loyal, kind, loving, gentle, and a joy to be around. But yet, despite all of the good that she gave, this is her waiting for her family to come back to take her home again. I don’t know about you, but this photo brings me to tears.

Keisha was surrendered, and that family that she once knew are people that she will never see again. They gave up on her because they simply “couldn’t afford her” anymore. Yes, their completely housebroken, sweet, very obedient dog was too expensive for them. (It makes me wonder why people even get dogs in the first place!!)

This is the look of abandonment…Keisha was surrendered by her family today. They did not have the money to keep her…

Mighty Mutts rescue has scheduled her spay to take place on November 19th, but she cannot have her surgery if she does not have a foster home to recover in. Keisha is currently located in Ontario, Canada, she does great with small children and cats, but because of a recent attack by a dog, she needs to go to a foster home with NO OTHER DOGS.

“Anyone would be lucky to have her, she’s a sweet girl,” Dahlia at Might Mutts told iHeartDogs.com

Do you know anyone who can give this dog a place to call home while she’s recovering from a broken heart??
