The owner of a gas station called DAR Animal Rescue about a pup that was living inside a tire on the property. The stray wasn’t moving much and the man thought he might be paralyzed. But that wasn’t the case. Instead, the dog sought solace in the only place he felt safe and remained there, too frightened to move. The rescuers came as quickly as they could and met the dog. He seemed timid but sweet. Now they had to gain his trust. One of the women bent down to the dog’s level and gently pet him. The dog was receptive and wagged his little tail. Now they had to get him out of there.

As the rescuer pulled him from the tire, she discovered that chunks of his ears were missing. Someone had cut them crudely with a scissor. With the combination of his injuries and the lack of support from other humans, the dog had given up. He was waiting in the tire for his time to come. The woman picked him up out of the tire and held him close. He, with his beautiful puppy heart, thanked her for her kindness. It was quite the moment!

The pup, later named Cooper, was taken to the veterinarian and treated for malnourishment, dehydration, and scabies. He faced many challenges in order to recover, but his new human friends had all the faith in the world. Each day, the pup found in a tire, made progress. Cooper’s transformation over the course of his healing journey is incredible. By the end of the video, he’s barely recognizable! You have to see it for yourself… we can promise all the feels! Thank you DAR Animal Rescue for giving Cooper a second chance at life!
