We have a 3 year old male springer. We had him neutered ad a pup.since this other male dogs are fascinated with him constantly sniffing him and trying to mount him.he has developed zero tolerance to this and will attack any dog that attempts it.there is a particular problem with Staffordshire Bull terriers who he has a hatred of. Has anyone had a similar problem and does anyone have any ideas how to solve it. Cheers steve

My problem is the opposite – my 11 yo male does the mounting.

It is not aggression but dominance – wanting to be in charge. No it is not acceptable from either dog – mine or the pit. The owner needs to do a timeout with the dog when it happens. I have literally dragged mine off and put him on his side on the ground with me over him.
