Abby's Story

Hi my name is Abby and i would like to tell you my story about how i met my adopted mommy Katie. I was born sometime in 2008 in a not very fun place(puppy mill). I was shown no love, and spent all day locked up in a cage. I gave birth to puppies but they died so my owners dumped me on the highway to die on a hot summer day. Luckily, a local animal shelter found me and nursed me back to health. A couple weeks before I met Katie, an older couple adopted me but a week later, they brought me back to the shelter and told the workers they couldn’t handle me. I was so sad because i thought I had a chance at a loving family. A week later, Katie came to the shelter. When the worker took me out to Katie, i was scared because what if she gets tired of me and leaves me like the old couple did? When the worker put me in her arms, it was love at first sight and I saw Katie with a big smile on her face and she promised me that she would take care of me and I would never be abused again. Since the day that my mommy adopted me, she gives me lots of love , attention and so many toys and treats! I’m so glad my mommy rescued me and i love her so much!
