When someone leaves the house Cooper just goes crazy running around and barking. He does this with family or even visitors. I’ve tried to get him focused on something else, I’ve tried shaking a can filled with some coins… I’ve tried to use one of those training things that only the dog can hear…. I don’t know what to to get him to stop. I don’t always know when somebody is heading out the door, but he does. He gets really excited about it. When I do know, I’ve tried to get him into another room or get him outside, but I really would like to know how to get this corrected! HELP!

My Cocker Spaniel Bella does the same thing! We have also tried giving her a special toy to play with only when people leave, treats and nothing has worked. I am working with a trainer so I will keep you posted with what we do to overcome the behavior.
