I have a pug who is a little over a year old, and she bites my feet. She doesn’t bite my husband, sometimes our adult child. I’ve tried everything, giving her a toy, misdirecting her attention, ect. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I had this with my young Pug Elvis. He used to aggressively go for my feet. I learnt to pick up on his body language when he was about to do it and the situations he would do it…usually food was about! I carried a small plastic bottle with pennies in or had it ready at hand and as soon as he went for my feet I would shake it so hard the noise would stop him in his tracks!

He used to look round to try and work out what and where the noise was coming from and I would stand still until I could see his body language turn to relaxed then pet him.

After doing this consistently for a few weeks he has finally stopped going for my feet! I had to be consistent and never let hi. Realise what it was the made the noise. The behaviour got less and less over the weeks and now he never does it!

Good luck with sorting your girl out.
