My name is Katie formerly Blueberry. I came from a city shelter in Oregon. My previous owners took the time to tattoo a number on my thigh, but not search for me. I weighed 30 lbs when adopted and 50 now. The shelter named me blueberry because it was the second week of a rotation of the alphabet and blueberry was the first “b” name anyone could think of. I’d be put down in two days anyway. High energy dark dogs are after all out of style. In my final day a new human came she saw me ignoring her as excitement, and my pointing cats as instinct. She saved me and I now live with three rescue dogs and a rescue cat. And I enjoy my new earned name; That of her grandfather’s prized point
er: Katie. I can hunt upland birds like a champ but all I want is a chuck it ball.
