Hi Alice, I have a 16 year old maltese who ate practically the same for many years although he did like my vegetables on my plate and other commercial dog food, he recently succumbed to a autoimmune disease, all vet drugs and treatment had no effect after his last blood transfusion for the anaemia he contracted an infection due to all the chemotherapy and immune suppressant medication so was put on antibiotics he was becoming weaker, callapsing, incontinent could barely lift his head, the vet wanted to put him to sleep, I researched every website on this condition and came across “Canine Vitality” which is based in Brisbane, QLD Australia, I live in Victoria, Australia this website and lady saved my dogs life she advised me what to do, my Naturopath made up some herb tinctures and Lyndall from Canine Vitality said I must put him on a Raw diet it’s the only option I had to provide him with the best nutrients, my dog had always turned his nose up at any raw meat so thought this was going to be difficult, I discovered a diet called “BARF” don’t know where you are that you could purchase this amazing pet food but here in Australia it’s called bigdogpetfoods.com. I purchase the combo of 4 meats, Pork, Beef, Chicken and Lamb for puppies and small dogs it’s been double minced, long story short it saved his life long with all other support, wish it was around when he was a pup, I purchase at good pet shops in the frozen refrigerator, take a look at the website above and if you have any questions feel free to reply you may be able to find a “BARF” diet where you live??

      Ingredients in the patties are:

Beef, finely ground beef bone & cartilage, lamb, finely ground lamb bone & cartilage, chicken, finely ground chicken bone & cartilage, pork heart, beef & lamb heart, beef & lamb liver, beef & lamb kidney, whole fish (salmon & sardines), seasonal fruits, vege and herbs (kale, spinach, broccoli, bok choy, silver beet, carrots, celery, beetroot, lettuce, cucumber, capsicum, apple, orange, pear, tomato, strawberry, ginger & parsley), ground flaxseed, alfalfa powder, whole egg, kelp powder (brown seaweed), brewers yeast, wheatgrass, live probiotics, prebiotics, garlic.
