My Shepard is almost 5 months old. I have tried everything to get her to come to her name when called. She will only do this when she is scared at the dog park and will never leave my side. Any other time she just completely ignores me. She is also as sweet as can be when she is calm, but when she gets excited, she bites and barks at you or continuously slaps her paw on you to get attention. The biting is the biggest issue in this case. I don’t know what else to do to get her to stop biting when excited and listen to me. Any suggestions?

She’s so beautiful! I would recommend to go back to training, in your yard or any large safe area, use a long lead (15+ feet long) and have treats ready. Have her on the leash and say her name then “come” and gently pull her towards you enthusiastically reward her with the treats and petting continue this and use a longer space each time! It’ll take some practice but 5 minutes a day is better than an hour at once so just make it part of your routine! Good luck!
