I am constantly battling yeast and dirty ears. Can anyone give me tips on how to keep my baby from scratching and whining because of sore ears?

Oh boy do I know what you are going through! My girl battled chronic infections from the time she was 6 months old until she died at 12.5 years old. I was not able to get it from a severe to a mild infection until I started flushing her ears every day (yes, every day) with Vet’s Best ear wash and finishing it off with Bio-Groom Medicated Ear Powder (I don’t think they make the medicated ear powder anymore, but I believe they still make a medicated ear wash).

If you are not already, you might want to try a 50/50 vinegar/water solution for flushing. This was recommended to my by my vet and I, foolishly, did not follow the advice. Probably could have saved my dog a lot of pain and suffering had I just held my nose and followed my vet’s advice.

Also, you may want to consider switching your dog to a low or no carb diet or even a raw diet. From what I have read, yeast likes to feed on the carbs/starches/sugars and removing or greatly reducing the yeast can help keep the yeast under control.
