I have 2 boxers. One is 9 years old and the other almost a year old. They have gotten along fabulously for the last 10 months. All of a sudden, the last couple of days, they have been attacking each other. And not the playing kind. Nothing in our household or our routines have changed. Does anyone have any clue why this started all of a sudden or what I can do to fix it?

It happens sometimes with Boxers. Are they both the same gender? Female Boxers don’t mix well. It’s recommended that you not have two or more female Boxers together. If that’s the case your younger Boxer is now old enough to be a threat for alpha position and the olderBoxer is at a challenge age. if both are male this can also happen at a lesser degree.
Another point is the health of your older Boxer. I’ve had Boxers for almost 60 years. Boxers. Will sometimes exclude an aging or sick Boxer or become outright nasty to them. When was the oldest last check up? On Jan 2nd we lost our nine year old from cancer. Our two other Boxers started to exclude her from playing about three months before her diagnosis.
Boxers are amazing dogs who love to good off. It’s easy to forget they came from wolves and still carry a lot of pack behaviors.
