My 8 yr old pug Dixie won’t stop peeing and pooping in the house. We have tried giving her rewards for asking to go out and praising her as well. Then the next 10 times she will ask to go out after she has already went in the house. What are some ways to retrain her? I do understand that she is 8 already but is there any hope fir her or should i just break down and get the puppy pads at this point??? I should mention that we have only had Dixie as a family member for 2 years. This picture is the look she gives us after using the house to go potty in?

I HAVE 5 PUGS 2 MALE 3 FEMALE. MY OLDER FEMALE STARTED TO DO THE SAME THING.. I STARTED TO USE THE PEE PADS. WHEN SHE FIRST WENT ON THE FLOOR I BROUGHT HER TO THE SPOT AND THEN TO THE PEE PAD AFTER A FEW MINOR ACCIDENTS SHE STARTED TO GO ON THE PADS ABOUT 2X A DAY I MOVED THE PADS CLOSER TO THE DOOR FINALLY AFTER ABOUT A WEEK SHE WENT OUTSIDE. AT 8 YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK TO SEE IF SHE HAS ANY BACK LEG ATHRITIS THEY ARE HESITANT TO GO OUT WHEN THEY ARE ACHY.. MY OLD MALE IS GOING THRU THIS HE IS 12.

SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING ACCORDING TO THAT LOOK. IF SHE IS THE ONLY FUR BABY PUGS ARE ONE OF THE HARDEST TO TRAIN.. MOST OF THE TIME I THINK THEY DO THIS OUT OF VENGEANCE FOR SOME REASON. LOL. BUT HONESTLY GO WITH THE PEE PAD MOVING IT CLOSER AND CLOSER TO THE DOOR U NORMALLY USE TO PUT HER OUT. AND ALWAYS USE THE SAME DOOR.
