I am scouting out properties now in Washington state where the weather is not too wet or too dry. Love to share this project with other like-minded individuals. I plan on setting it up and operating it as a non-profit but nothing is written in stone. I’m interested in saving lives of pets whose owners have demised and/or become unable to care for them personally but are willing to establish trust funds for their pets sort of like social security program but for pets. I’m also interested in saving at risk strays in high kill shelters. Also, owners of pets in transition who need get out of the rat race for a spell and rebuild their lives after crisis will find temporary shelter on a work-trade basis. I’m not necessarily looking to re-home pets adopted. If you’d like to know more about me and this project let me know how to get in touch with you and what you can bring to the table in the projects. I plan on starting this project in the early part of 2016 if all goes well but I’m sure there will always be on-going room for more like-minded people as well. Looking forward to making your acquaintance.

My name is Betty Jones and I’ve also wanted to start a rescue for elder dogs that have been given up at a young age. Just because they are 7-10 yrs old doesn’t mean they are worthless as they still have a Lot of love to give.
I see you also like the bogger dogs? I’m going to be moving to northern Oregon state in a month and would love to talk to you about all this my phone number is 641-732-9824 I am presently in Iowa at this moment. Please either write me back at awesomeredpits123@yahoo.com or call.
Thanks for what your trying to do, Betty

I have to just reach out and say how much I admire your passion. What you are doing is my dream! I don’t have the funding to do this and not sure how I ever would. I’ve looked into other places near me (I’m in Virginia) but there wasn’t much I could find about how it started or getting involved. I’m an elementary school teacher but I also have a passion for animals especially dogs. I have a pit bull named Khaleesi and she is such an important part of our little family. I think of other dogs as innocent and sweet as Khaleesi who do not have families or who have lost their families… not to mention the unthinkable abused animals that need love and protection. I have always said that I play the lottery so that I can quit my job and start a dog rescue ranch. Many laugh at me as if I’m kidding – but I’m so serious. Unfortunately, winning the lottery is a far shot in the dark. No matter, it is still my dream and again, I admire your passion and drive to make it happen. I wish I was on the same coast as you… I would love to help support your cause and make my dream come true by helping animals.
I wish you the best of luck! I look forward to following your story.
