Hello all, im new to this forum and am excited to be here. I am just in desperate need of advice or someone to talk to about what i should do now with a recent lifestyle change. Ill try to make it brief, but here is some backround info.

After dating my highschool sweet heart for 7 years, we finally moved out and got a dog. We adopted an older pit mix that was in the shelter for 2 years. When we met her, i knew she was my dog right away and instantly fell in love. Fast forward a couple months and i wake up one morning being told to get out of the house and it was over. I went back to my parents for a couple weeks trying to figure out living arrangements where i could bring the dog. I couldnt bring her to my parents because their dog and mine did not get along. I was extremely fortunate enough to have a friend that let me and my angel stay with him.

So heres where im at now. He does have a cat that is a jerk and my dog doesnt seem to like cats to much. We put the cat away when i take her out but rhe cat does harras me if im just in the house. Me and my gypsy are staying in a decent sized room and she is crate trained so she goes in when i go to work. I just recenrly started letting her hang out in the room if i go out for a little besides work, which makes me feel better. My concern really is our lifestyle. We went from a big house with plenty of room to one room. Now whenever im home im hanging out with her. I walk her everyday and give her plenty of treats and toys to keep her occupied. Ahe ia not on a strict routine like she was prior and is just getting over separation anxiety after not seeing me for a couple weeks. I just keep reminding myself this is temporary until i can get back on my feet.

My question is, how do i go about keeping her happy and still well trained living in a room together? I would do anything to be with her and am trying to work as much as i can to save up money to get us a house, it will take a bit tho. Gypsy truly changed my life and gave me a reason to live. She is so loyal and grateful to have me i would do anything for her. Any advice you can give me is helpful just to get me thru this. Thank you so much in advance
