My 7 yr old male mini dachshund use to do great in the car but about 2 yrs ago he started yelling, yipping,yapping & carrying on. I’ve tried training classes, he is on doggy prozac but it doesn’t seem to help. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem & if so what worked for you & your baby. He loves going bye – bye so it breaks my heart when I can’t take him because he won’t stop Yelling.

I tried the thunder-shirt and seems to help a little. Mine does much the same thing and it seems to calm her a little. Good luck.

Are Gretchen did real well too until people kept tapping on the window and she became protective of her owners property. Which is what she should do. Only she wouldn’t stop after that. We carried a soft muzzle with us and when she wouldn’t calm down we put it on her and told her no barking. Just a short time. Took a little while and using the muzzle several time, but it worked. Hated to use the muzzle but it is what we had to do. Didn’t have any other tools or calming meds or thundershirts.
