My beautiful lovable Chow Chow girl leaves the room whenever me or my husband coughs. Isn’t that strange? We got her from a Chow Chow rescue 4 years ago when she was about 2-1/2 yrs old. Her name is Lexi; she came with her name. They did not seem very forthcoming with her background and seemed to know more info than they gave me. When I asked the name of her prior Vet, she would not return my phone calls. I was so happy she took to me immediately. Anybody have any ideas?

Just joined the forum. I laughed when I saw your post about the coughing as our chow boy Ed leaves the room when my hubby sneezes or sniffs loudly. He will also come & hide by me. We have had him from a puppy so we cannot explain why he does this-he is fine when I sneeze(although hubbies sneeze is always mega loud!!!!)
I think its just the eccentric nature of chows.
