Everytime my poor little boy goes outside he gets all red, bumpy & itchy. I think he might be allergic to the grass. I have tried bathing him & giving him benedryl & it hasnt helped. Does anyone have any suggestions on what else I could try to help him?

Thank you all for the helpful hints. I don’t use chemicals on my lawn so I’m pretty sure it’s just the grass itself that causes his chest/stomach to break out. I will try these helpful things. We thank you!

Buy Wen conditioning
cleanser. Human shampoo removes all the oils in the canine coat. You may be bathing too much. Wen also has a spray mist, work that into the coat. Give it time, it will work. -
I’d suggest you find an animal dermatologist and have him skin tested. That will tell you exactly what he’s allergic to and the doctor can prepare antigens for him to counteract the allergies. I did this once with a dog and it was great. He only had to be on the antigens for about 2 years.
