New Puppy – What is your advice?

Hello everyone. New to this forum!

My husband and I will be getting a female puppy in the Spring 2017! We are very excited. We are getting her from a very reputable Canadian CKC breeder with beautiful dogs. He keeps the pups till about 10-11 week.

Now, I personally have never had a Springer before, however my experience is with Rottweilers, who have been obedience, agility and therapy dogs. My husband’s first dog as a teen was a Springer, who was apparently a fabulous dog, but him being a first time owner back then, and not really knowing anything of owning a dog, I was hoping to ask some experienced owners about their opinions.

So my big question for you, has a first time Springer owner, but experienced dog handler….what would be your best advice to help raising this breed into a well rounded dog?
